Parallax effect

I bumped to this video and I was amazed that it’s all photos. It’s the first time knew of this technique.

That being said, I attempted to try it.

Here is my 5-second take using an existing photo.

Real Danboard!

I finally got myself a REAL Danboard ๐Ÿ˜€ I even got a mini Danboard! So excited to take more photos!!!

Today I made another experiment. This time it’sย levitation – I made myself float.

My take on Red Velvet Cupcake

Today, I managed to bake a red velvet cupcake. Everybody here loved it! XD

Red Velvet Batter

This is how it turned out!

Red Velvet Cupcake

The part that didn’t worked out so well was the frosting. I think it has something to do with the butter I used and I ran out of confectioner’s sugar. It looks like a scrambled egg XD I’ll probably try cream cheese frosting next time.

Red Velvet Cupcake Frosting

It looks gross but the cupcake taste better with this ๐Ÿ™‚

Feel Good Day

My problem when attending formal occasions, especially wedding, is what I’ll wear.

I’m a jeans and t-shirt girl. I don’t wear heels (and I mean those formal, fancy high heels) and make-up (just cheek tint). ย You can count how many formal occasions I’ve attended on your hands including proms LOL!

For the past weeks, Mike and I were on a quest to buy a dress and comfortable heels. Fortunately, I was able to borrow heels and bought a dress the day before. I also managed to book a hair and make-up artist, Chichi Sotomil. She did a great job, at least by how my friends reacted when I posted this photo on my wall. It’s great that we found a great HMUA here at the south.

Feel Good Day

The ceremony was held at Santuario de San Jose. Mike did the second reading and an impromptu Prayer for the Faithful reader (the priest suddenly called him). Reception was at Oasis Manila and received an early bird “item” ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyow, the heels didn’t worked for me. ๐Ÿ™ Even if I put those gel thingy on the sole, my feet just couldn’t bear it. I ended up wearing the boots. Good thing I brought them it.

Feel Good Day II

Paul and Joy, our previous client, were also there and shared the table with them. I was also happy that Nina (K by Cunanan) was also there. We’ve had 2 wedding clients where she handled their catering. It was good to see her. Darlene, Mike’s classmate, event’s host and an ex-coordinator was introduced to me. Mike wanted to coordinate our wedding before but she already had a client that time.

Then they have this mini game where guests are encouraged to write wishing message for the couple. I was so surprised when mine won hahahaha!

Newly Weds Wish Message

It reads:

Dear Johanna and JM,

Congrats and best wishes to both of you. Just a piece of advice. Maglagay ng dishwashing liquid sa plato bago maghugas. Maglagay ng gas sa kotse bago mag drive. Mag “I love you” bago matulog at mag “I love you” pag gising. I hope it makes sense but I hope this made you smile ๐Ÿ™‚ CHEERS!

After the wedding, we went to Magnum Opus, a coffee shop that’s near our village. We’ve been meaning to go to that place but we usually return from our errands quite late and the place is already close.

We were greeted by the owner Jonathan. He’s very accomodating and very pleasant. Assisted us on what we can try since it’s our first time.ย I tried Belgian Heartbreaker. It’s a moccha drink that uses Belgian chocolate and Mike their Classic Latte.ย Gads, it was good. Not your typical famous coffee shop drink.

Mike and I were bothered on how familiar Jonathan is. So after we paid our bill, we asked him and it turns out that he used to be my player! I felt proud of him. Wow. We both agreed that we will be a regular there and that we need to talk to him on how he can improve the place.

I really felt good that day. I pulled off a semi-formal look (accidentally matched a formal dress and my fave boots), the make-up, won a game, met old client, co-suppliers, met a player, tasted a new coffee…

It was good.

It was really, really good.

…And I’m Back!

Oh yes I’m back!

I’ve partially populated my site mainly uploaded photos. I had to work backwards because I don’t know where to start. x_X

I hope I have uploaded enough that you can “look around”.

Moar stuff coming soon. Drop-by again ok? ๐Ÿ™‚

Status and State

Status and State

I shot a heart bokeh and thought that it will make a great background for a quote I spotted in Twitter.

Quick Post

Just a quick post while my photos are being batch process at the background.

Been very busy lately because lots of catching up to do at work. I also have 2 websites, and lots of photo to process lined-up. Not to mention 4 draft posts here at my blog ๐Ÿ™

Hopefully I get to finish all of it when I leave my work… for good.

Yep. I passed my resignation last April 30 because I want to shift my priority to my family and to our business. I gave my company 2 months for the whole search-for-replacement and transition. It’s sad because I’ve been in the company for more than 5 years already and considered them a family. I’ll miss them ๐Ÿ™

On the other hand, I’m quite excited to do all the things I’ve always wanted to do – aside from post-processing photos. I can now practice baking cupcakes, work on my clays, and learn how to drive perhaps? HAHAHA!

Batch processing done!

See you guys!

A Manny Librodo Workshop

Yesterday, I was very fortunate to join a Manny Librodo workshop (at last!).

All I can say is that the place was great. No crowd. The only clincher – it was scorching hot! >_<

We’re suppose to have different places to shoot but we were stuck in the amphitheater area.

Back to Oblivion - Amphitheatre

I was looking forward to this place ๐Ÿ™

Back to Oblivion - Haunted House

It’s a bummer though that I won’t be able to attend the post-processing session because Dad’s leaving for Dubai ๐Ÿ™

Anyhow, will try to post a photo soon.

Last rest day

I did some “sculpting” before I get busy again and work tomorrow.

polymer clay popsicle cracker sandwich mocha mug

Today’s season is not the ideal temperature to work with clays. It’s summer here and with warm climate, clay tends to be soft and sticky. Considering that I’m using Sculpey, it’s softer and stickier. -_-

I didn’t like how the mocha mug turned out. I attempted to make a swirly milk and chocolate and the mug looks weird.

I also had the hard time working with the TLS. It’s really thick. I have to get a new one or get a clay softener.

Also mom bought me a round cookie cutter! I can now make miniature cake :3
